… and it’s been hard work!

Two weeks ago, I quickly blogged about the interest shown in tCn at Ecobuild and said we would be busy processing all the new individual applications, and following up with construction organisations that asked about corporate tCn involvement. It has proved to be more difficult than I imagined, with a lot of late nights and lots of test emails flying backwards and forwards.

For a start, we have had some issues with the user administration ‘engine’ that drives our website, and we didn’t want to allow access until we were sure that it was secure and working properly. We are also establishing the administration protocols necessary to approve organisations’ use of tCn by their employees – for example, we know some companies don’t want their staff spammed by recruitment consultants. We want tCn to be a place where you network with people you know or want to know, not with people you might prefer to avoid (and we will be carrying this policy through to the tCn group on LinkedIn too).

As with many new website projects, I am sure there will still be some teething problems, but we are getting very close to ‘go live’ now.
