Slowly but surely…

The new-look tCn website went live last night (following a slight delay due to nameserver issues) and the team is busy working on some outstanding glitches. As a result, from time time, we are having to take the site down for short periods.

tCn 2.0 is much more than just a new coat of paint. Working with Lee Smallwood of M4 Design, we have completely replaced the technology underpinning the network. As well as being more robust, reliable and scalable for us, it offers a much improved user experience, and will – we hope – be more attractive to both individuals and companies looking to build a business network specific to their UK construction and property interests.

Following such a major upgrade, and as we have switched from an offline test environment to a live site, we expected there to be some initial teething troubles, and we are currently testing, tinkering and re-testing bits of site functionality. Please bear with us as we tackle the issues.

We expect all the key items will all be resolved during the next 24-48 hours, so you may want to wait until Monday (2 August) before visiting the site and having a detailed look around. When you do visit the site, please let us know if you find something that doesn’t look or work as you might expect – we like the idea of having hundreds of pairs of eyes helping us identify typos, bugs and the like.
