tCn shortlisted for two Be2Awards

tCn – the Construction Network has been making steady progress during the winter months. Since our last blog post, we have passed two landmarks: we now have over 2,000 registered tCn members and 1,000 followers on our main Twitter account, tCntweets.

More exciting though, perhaps, is that tCn has been nominated for two awards in the world’s first social media awards for the built environment. The Be2Awards are intended to highlight best practice in using Web 2.0 tools and techniques within the architecture, engineering, construction (AEC) and related disciplines, and – in the open and authentic spirit of social media, it is using open nomination and online voting to decide the winners. tCn has been nominated for:

Please support us! Online voting closes at midnight GMT on 7 February 2011, with the winners announced at a London Social Media Week event on the afternoon of Wednesday 9 February. We aim to be there, and we hope lots of our friends and supporters will join us (and it’s not just about awards – Be2camp has also organised the ConstrucTALKs: six thought-provoking speakers on construction, collaboration and technology, business, social media and Gen Y. Should be an informative afternoon.
